    On this Easter morning remember that the risen Lord of Life is all we need.

    No matter what excuse or fear we can conjure up, Jesus is there as the answer!

    Look at this list of common fears and then see how the person of Jesus answers each one:

    “I think I am in trouble with God”

    • Jesus is our advocate with God (1 John 2:1)

    “I have sinned so much”

    • Atoning Sacrifice for our Sins (1 John 2:2)

    “I feel so dirty”

    • The One Who Washes Us (Ephesians 5:26)

    “I have been so unfaithful”

    • Lover of the Unfaithful (Hosea 3:1)

    “There is so much darkness all around”

    • Light of the World (John 8:12)

    “I feel so far from God”

    • Immanuel (Mt. 1:23)


    “I want to see more of God”

    • Image of God (2 Cor. 4:4)

    “I feel trapped and snared”

    • Deliverer (Rom. 11:26)
    • Savior (Eph. 5:23; Titus 1:4; 3:6; 2 Pet. 2:20)

    “I feel weak and unable”

    • Power of God (1 Cor. 1:24)

    • The Sufficiency (1 Cor. 12:9)

    “I feel hopeless”

    • Hope (1 Tim. 1:1)
    • Hope of Glory (Col. 1:27)

    “I feel so sad and depressed”

    • The Man of Sorrows (Lamentations 3:28-30)
    • The Christian’s Joy (Philippians 1:26)

    “I’m sick and tired”

    • He is our Sabbath Rest (Hebrews 4:9)
    • By His Stripes We Are Healed (Isaiah 53:5)

    “I’m concerned about the Devil”

    • He Disarmed and Triumphed Over The Devil (Col. 2:15)

    “I don’t know what to do now”

    • He said the Father is seeking those who will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:23)

    Its Good Friday… time to ponder and praise.

    Did you ever consider the details of the crucifixion account and what Christ accomplished for us? It’s a paradox!

    Read Mark 15:1-39 and notice the details alluded to below and then rejoice in the truths attached to them!

    Verse 5

    Jesus was silent before His accusers that our accuser might be silenced

    Verse 9

    Jesus was imprisoned that we might be set free

    Verse 13

    Jesus was rejected by men that we might be accepted by God

    Verse 14

    Jesus was innocent and yet condemned that the guilty might be free from condemnation

    Verse 15

    Jesus was scourged that we might be healed

    Verse 17

    Jesus bore the crown of thorns that we might wear the crown of righteousness

    Verse 19a

    Jesus was beaten by men that we might be blessed by God

    Verse 19b

    Jesus was spit on by men that we might be spoken kindly to by God

    Verse 20

    Jesus was mocked by men that we might be affirmed by God

    Verse 21

    Jesus collapsed under the cross that we might stand in the favor of God

    Verse 24a

    Jesus was crucified that we might be …

    Verses 27-28

    Jesus was numbered among the transgressors that we might be counted among the righteous

    Verses 29-32

    Jesus did not save Himself in order that He might save us

    Verse 33

    Jesus hung in darkness that we might walk in light

    Verse 34

    Jesus was forsaken by the Father that we might be accepted by the Father

    Verse 37

    Jesus died that we might live
