TODAY is a huge day! Having finished all her scheduled treatments, Daisy is being tested for any further signs of disease today. She’ll have a CT Scan, Echo Cardiogram, and blood test. If there is no sign of cancer, she will be declared to be in remission. If after 3 years there are still no signs of disease, she will be said to have been cured of cancer.
This picture is Daisy two days ago… a true warrior.

Most of you know that my daughter, Daisy Love, was diagnosed with cancer in September of last year. Early on in that time, we prayed and asked God diligently to heal my baby girl of cancer…and He didn’t…but I can tell you this:
Even though my daughter hasn’t been miraculously healed of cancer, she still trusts God so much. Last week, my wife Kate made amazing tacos for dinner. They were fantastic, and little Daisy ate too much. She woke up this morning and told us, “Daddy, in the middle of night, I had a tummy ache, but I prayed to God and He healed me!”
I love my daughter. I love that when God hasn’t healed her of the big things like cancer, she still trusts Him to heal her from the little things like taco tummy aches. But even more than my daughter, I love Jesus, the eternally faithful, ever-loving Savior who shows me that He cares for every detail of my life more than I can ever imagine.
I tell this story in the KKLA radio interview I did on April 23 with Frank Pastore.
Daisy’s Aunt Heidi made a bear outfit for her. It really represents how she is and how she handles cancer!

Watch this video. I do not agree with Piper on everything, though I love him and consider him a friend. I have never met Rick though I have spoken at his church’s men’s conference a couple of times. I do not agree with all he says and does either. But, I believe, we all agree on the unique identity and supremacy of Jesus Christ. And that causes us to be ‘brothers’.
Piper is handling this controversy wonderfully… He says this in the video and it is my heart for the Reality Family of Churches:
“I’m really eager that this not become a riddled, narrow, ugly,
excessively separatist movement, and so I’m not devoting my life to
finding a lot of enemies to attack – I’ve got some – but I want to
devote my life to hammering on truth!”That seems Christ honoring and productive to the glory of God to me.
