Hey guys… welcome to my blog. What am I going to do with this? Well, there are two things (which pertain to this blog) that excite me: (1) Theology and (2) equipping people that want to serve Jesus. So, i will be posting little theological thoughts from time to time as well as recommending resources and stuff. Video is cool, so look for some of that. The real reason is Jesus. We exist for His glory and everything we do is to be for His glory. So, that’s the goal–to glorify King Jesus.
Love,
britt

Hi Britt
I just saw your blog as I was just showing my Mom the baptism photos and telling her how much you and my Reality family have helped me to know and love Jesus in a way I never could before. You all have changed my life and I am forever grateful. Thank you for baptising me and for softening a hard heart so that I could feel again.
Love,
jodee

Hey Britt! So are you going to be answering those questions that people commented on Laz’s blog “Reality Questions:”?

Britt,
Thanks so much for recommending Grudem’s books… there is a core of 8 of guys meeting early Tuesday mornings to discuss a chapter a week, pray for one another, and seek to apply the topic at hand… it’s exciting as biblical theology adequately handled and studied brings so much life, growth, and health!
Blesssings!
Neil

This blog is one of a kind, Britt. I’m excited about Theology, Eschatology AND Israelogy. I wrote a funny blog called This Little Meshugenah Went to the Deli — an ode to the Hebrew people whom I’ve a growing fascination.
I also love you all at Reality Carp. Miss being prostrate during the worship service…never realized how unique that was.

Greetings from Australia. Each week I look forward to your Bible study published under Messages, and now there will be something extra. Thank you so much. Have been praying for your wife, I hope there is progress there. Bless you for your wonderful work in Our Lord’s service.

Well Hi there Britt!
Today was amazing at church! THANK YOU!!! Right on with the Word of God. More repentance is due and coming(corporately) for lack of trust in Him… and will make room for more of HIM in us. (Start with me, Lord…) HE IS TRUSTWORTHY! May He be MAGNIFIED!
Love you Britt and Kate! Blessings in JESUS’ name!, Candy O

Hey Britt,
My girlfriend and I met you on Sunday June 1, at your 11 o’clock service; we were the ones who flew from Texas to catch your sermon– wow, really great to finally meet you and catch a live message. The Lord really moves through you and Reality. Stoked to see God’s great work on back home in California. I can’t wait to share your sermon with my pastor back here in Austin. You and Reality are in our prayers.
All the love,
Paul and Whitney
p.s. is it possible to get your email??

And I don’t know if you are going to be gone or anything, but my mom, grandma, and I are going to Reality again on Sunday because we thought it was just so awesome!!!! We would probably go there if we still lived in California. We live in Castle Rock, Colorado now. Anyway I just wanted to kind of meet you at least in the blog.

I like your blog. Picture on about Britt looks good. I saw a Thomas Oden book in your Books section. I’d like to reccomend his three volume systematic theology. He’s very good. I also ran across a book called The Prophets, by Abraham J. Heschel, a jewish scholar (not charismatic, not even christian) which is the best book I’ve read on the Old Testament Prophets soulical experiences with God (what was it like for them from the inside out?). I highly reccomend it (except his Isaiah portion which he takes a “Israel is the servant” and “two authors” perspective). It was written as a two volume work (Harpers Collins 1962), but now it is sold bound under one cover (Prince Press edition, 6th printing 2004, ISBN 1-56563-450-0). If you’re like me, your book list is set for about a year in advance, but consider reading it sometime — you won’t be disapointed.

Hi Britt,
I am new to the area and I have visited Reality Carp a few times. I have really enjoyed it, thank you for your ministry. I am a Christian, and I read your statement of faith and had few questions about different topics on there. One was regarding divorce. I am going through a divorce (was not of my choosing) and I wonder what your take on this would be. I agreed with your doctrinal statement on sexuality and marriage, but what does one do if you are divorced? Am I disqualified from spiritual leadership? And what about remarriage?
The second was regarding the role of the Holy Spirit. I wasn’t clear if the church encouraged the use of the gifts of the Spirit such as healing, words of knowledge, speaking in tongues, etc. Could you clarify. Thanks!

Byron-
Sorry brother! I’ve never had a blog before, and sometimes I can’t keep up with all the comments! But I read yours (and everyones), and I agree, in fact, I think my book list is several years in advance. I’ll keep that one in the roster, though:)
Keep studying!!

Jim-
Hey brother! Listen to a message I gave on divorce out of the Gospel of Mark:
http://realitymessages.com/audio/2004-10-10-Jesus_Teaching_on_Divorce-Mk_10.1.12.24kbps.mp3
Also, check out Jay Adams book on the topic is well.
Hope this helps!

Thank you so very much, I and many others feel you have a direct link w/ God and that he seems to talk through you. Your message got through to my heart which was heavily burdoned. May I please ask of you to help pray for the finding of homes for my pure bred Wired Haired Fox Terrier puppies, they are 8 weeks old now and need to go to good loving hopefully christian families. Thank-you for your prayer. You have truly lifted my spirits countless times Very Sincerly Marci
